Our aramid fiber core uses eighth inch wide hexagonal, structural chambers. This allows for 64 structural chambers per square inch. Polypropylene cores use quarter inch wide hexagonal, structural chambers, allowing for only 16 chambers per square inch.
This more compact chamber arrangement quadruples density and results in a more solid and responsive core, which can deliver more of your energy back to the pickleball. And because aramid fiber weighs less than polypropylene, the additional structure doesn’t add any weight.
Forgiving Stability
The Predion E16 AF/CF doesn’t use a plastic edgeguard that’s glued to the core to keep the paddle together.
Instead, a thermoforming process is used to fuse the aramid fiber core to the carbon fiber facing (AF/CF).
The edges are reinforced with a quarter inch continuous chamber of solid, carbon fiber, creating a perimeter weighting system.
This perimeter weighting increases the moment of inertia, which is a measure of the paddle’s resistance to having its speed of rotation about an axis altered by the application of a turning force.
This allows the paddle to resist twisting and increases the sweet spot with less energy being lost on off center hits.
Swing-Friendly Balance
The balance point is at 54% of the paddle length, making it a head light paddle with almost perfect balance.
Due to the minimal head heaviness, the paddle feels very comfortable in your hand and is easy to swing. This reduced swing weight allows you to be more nimble with the paddle, a vital component for high speed volleys around the net.
Usually, lower swing weight paddles sacrifice power because of the lower “plow through” weight. But the because the Predion E16 AF/CF uses a more responsive aramid fiber core, power from speed and pop is maximized.
Precise Control
With its 3K woven carbon fiber facing and 16mm thickness, the Predion E16 AF/CF is very much a control paddle, allowing you to drop shots into the kitchen and effectively compete in soft dink battles.
And because carbon fiber is more stiff than other materials, it provides a low deflection rate and allows you to place your shots with tactical precision.
Extended Reach
At 16.5 inches long, the elongated Predion E16 AF/CF allows you to reach shots you couldn’t reach before and attack lob attempts with powerful overhead slams.
And as speed increases the farther away you get from the axis of an arc, the elongated Predion E16 AF/CF gives you longer arc strikes, further increasing power.

Guaranteed Durability
The Predion E16 AF/CF uses an aramid fiber honeycomb structure for its core.
Aramid fiber is used in airplane and boat hulls, where high strength to weight ratios are crucial. It’s also used to make Kevlar, the fabric used in bulletproof vests.
The aramid fiber honeycomb structure core of the Predion 16 AF/CF is extremely tough and won’t breakdown like typical polypropylene cores.
Aramid also develops a stronger interfacial bond to the carbon fiber facing than polypropylene, thus eliminating delamimation problems that cause “dead spots” on the paddle.
Crazy Spin
Spin shots are created with the swing path of the paddle and the relative angle of the paddle face to deliver directional forces on the ball.
The 5.5 inch long handle and 4 inch grip circumference of the Predion E16 AF/CF allows you to roll your wrist and easily manipulate the paddle face, creating the spin you desire.
And the gritty surface and carbon fiber facing makes your spins shots even more effective.
