The paddle’s carbon fiber sidewalls are fused with it’s carbon fiber facings under heat and pressure, completely encasing the polypropylene honeycomb core and maximizing surface tension for crisp, powerful shots. The open throat also pushes the sweetspot toward the paddle tip, allowing more effective use of the fastest part of your swing path and power generation.
Perimeter Weighted > More Stability
Perimeter weighting increases the moment of inertia, which is a measure of the paddle’s resistance to having its speed of rotation about an axis altered by the application of a turning force. This allows the paddle to resist twisting and increases the sweet spot with less energy being lost on off center hits.
Well Balanced > Agile Power
At an 8 ounce static weight, the 16.25 inch paddle has a flared face that ranges from 7.25 inches to 7.5 inches wide. The balance point is at 57% of the paddle length, making it a well balanced paddle. However, it’s at the upper end of the well balanced paddle range.
And because the balance point of the Predion 5 is more toward the tip of the paddle, it allows for a greater plow through rate and the ability to move the ball easier with serves, ground strokes and overhead slams.
Usually, a head heavy paddle is less nimble during quick volleys around the net. But the Predion 5 only weighs 8 ounces. And, the larger open throat and curved paddle tip reduces air drag, making the paddle more aerodynamic and allows for greater hand speed.

The 16 milimeter core of the paddle provides plenty of feel and touch, allowing for easier drop shots, soft dink battles, blocks and resets. And with its Toray T700 carbon fiber facing and long-lasting, peel-ply, raw carbon fiber texture, the Predion 5 allows you to induce ball spin, shape and place your shots with tactical precision.
The 5.5 inch long handle and 4.25 inch grip circumference of the Predion 5 allows you to roll your wrist and easily manipulate the paddle face, thereby adjusting your swing path and relative angle of the paddle face to deliver directional forces on the ball and spin.

The Predion 5 is covered under our lifetime warranty, which includes delamination (defined as when the paddle face becomes separated from the paddle core), core crush (defined as when the paddle core is compromised), edgeguard separation (defined as when the plastic edgeguard becomes detached from the side of the paddle), and paddle breakage (defined as when the paddle breaks at the handle).
